Jess Birch

Health & Safety

My name is Jess Birch and I am the Health and Safety officer for Shropshire South Riding Club. I believe I was appointed this role due to my extensive experience in the heatth care sector.

I have owned horses for 20* years, and am still lucky enough to have my first pony, who is now a happily retired. I also own four other horses, a homebred TB X (also retired), a Section A pony (never done a days work in her life!), my dressage horse, Fraggle, who you may have come across at riding club events and my newest recruit, Ronnie, a yearling dressage prospect.

I also have a pet Jersey cow, Betty. My horses make up a large proportion of my life and the riding club has been an invaluable source of support and opportunity for me and all my horses. I truty believe that without it I would not have achieved what I have to date.

Being on the committee is giving me a chance to give back to the riding club and hopefully support and encourage all of our members to fulfill their ambitions.
