Suzie Clark
Treasurer
I’m Suzie, Treasurer for SSRC since 2018. Born and brought up on a dairy farm in Anglesey, I’ve been around horses for as long as I can remember — riding from the time I could walk right through my teens, until university came along, and I had to say goodbye to my horses.
After a 20-year break, I decided for my 40th birthday that it was now or never and bought Jodie, my lovely Irish Draught mare. We had a brilliant time competing at county level in hunter and Irish Draught breed classes and even introducing me to the world of dressage before she sadly retired prematurely . One of my most memorable times with her was my first ever time at riding club camp, looking after me like a pro when I was nervous and not sure what to expect! These days I also share my life with a rescue pony and a 6-year-old Irish Draught x Gypsy Cob who keeps me on my toes!
We moved from Wolverhampton to Tenbury Wells 10 years ago, and joining the club was the perfect way to meet new friends. You’ll often find me behind the scenes helping to organise camp or busy scoring at our dressage competitions.
